The crown is completely screwed against the case. When the crown is in this position, the watch is guaranteed waterproof to a depth of 50 meters.
Manual winding (position 1)

When setting the watch for the first time or after the watch has stopped, a minimum of 25 turns is required for partial winding. When setting the watch for the first time or after the watch has stopped, a minimum of 25 turns is required for partial winding.
Date setting (position 2)
The crown is unscrewed and removed to the first notch.
To set the date, turn the crown of the winder clockwise or counterclockwise depending on the model. Turning in the opposite direction has the effect of winding manually the watch.
During this operation, the watch continues to work.
Time setting (position 3)
The crown is unscrewed and removed to the second notch. The seconds hand is stopped, allowing you to set the time to the nearest second.
To set the hour and minute, turn the crown in either direction.
To avoid confusion between morning and afternoon, move the hour hand to 12 o'clock. If the date changes, it is midnight.
Setting an Automatic Watch
1. Initial Winding
If the watch is stopped, manually wind it by turning the crown clockwise for about 30 to 40 full turns.
2. Date Setting
Before setting the date, make sure the hour hand is not positioned between 10 o'clock and 2 o'clock, as this could interfere with the date changing mechanism. If it's within this time frame, advance the time until it's outside of this range before proceeding to set the date. Once verified, pull the crown to the first position (usually pulling the crown to the first notch) and turn it clockwise until the displayed date is the current date.
3. Time Setting
Pull the crown to the second position (usually pulling the crown completely) and turn it clockwise to set the exact time. Make sure to set the time while considering the time of day (AM or PM) for accurate time reading.
4. Crown Setting
Once you have set the time and date, push the crown firmly against the watch case and ensure it is pushed in and screwed in properly to ensure water resistance and protection of the internal mechanism.
